Meiji Tile Renovation and Color Change Paint is a water-based, environmentally friendly coating specifically designed for the renovation of old tile surfaces. It can be applied to refurbish existing tiles without removing them, giving them a fresh new look. With a wide range of colors, it can meet different decoration and personalization needs, and is suitable for use in areas such as bathrooms, kitchens, toilets, balconies, stairs, walls, and indoor and outdoor floor tiles.

construction steps

① Substrate preparation

Before construction, clean the surface first, apply a coat of Meiji tile treatment agent to remove oil stains, dust, release agent residue, etc. on the surface, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Wipe off the tile treatment agent with a warm towel to ensure thorough cleaning. Wait until the surface is dry (temperature above 5°C, humidity less than 85%, maintain ventilation, and construct on sunny days);

② During construction, it is necessary to mix the matching crosslinking agent (which needs to be diluted with water) and apply it twice after stirring evenly. The normal packaging will come with enough crosslinking agent. If it is not possible to use it all at once, you can pour out the Meiji tile renovation and color change paint at a ratio of paint:crosslinking agent = 50:1 and add the crosslinking agent in portions;

③ During construction, 5-10% of the total weight of water can be used (dilute the crosslinking agent with water first, and then add it to the Meiji tile renovation and color changing paint);

④ To enhance the surface stain resistance, it can be paired with Meiji water-based universal anti-stain and wear-resistant topcoat.

Drying time: surface dry in 2 hours, fully dry in 24 hours (avoid water contact and impact within 24 hours after painting); complete film formation and achieve ideal effect in 7 days

Paint consumption: Theoretically, this product consumes approximately 89m²/coat per kilogram of paint (based on a dry film thickness of 30 micrometers). The actual application area varies depending on the application method and surface roughness. For optimal results, apply 2 to 3 coats.

Precautions

• This product is not suitable for use on smooth tile surfaces such as fully glazed tiles, diamond-enhanced tiles, vitrified tiles, and homogeneous marble tiles. If coating is necessary, the surface should be roughened and a tile treatment agent should be used to enhance adhesion, or consult our customer service;

• It is strictly prohibited to mix and use it with other coatings or oil paints;

• After painting or at the end of painting, the tools should be cleaned in time;

• Please keep this product out of reach of children; if it gets into the eyes, rinse with clean water and seek medical attention immediately.

• Store in a cool, dry place, protected from frost and direct sunlight, at a temperature of not lower than 5℃. The remaining paint should be sealed and properly covered, as impurities can cause deterioration of the paint
